Highlights

Chowkri Sarhad built in the 18th century formed the core of the walled city of Jaipur. Administrative and residential core of the Royal family, nodal point for religious functions, cultural and festive activities, artistic pursuits. Insensitive transformations, usage and activity pattern had resulted in defacing of the rich urban fabric. Prioritized conservation and regeneration of heritage components, experiential presentation of heritage, partnership with government for integrated development and tie up with Tourism industry were some of the key highlights of the proposal.
